Sharetribe provides a specialized SaaS platform for founders to build and scale online marketplaces. Its solution ranges from a no-code builder for rapid launches to a headless developer platform for deep customization. The Sharetribe Affiliate Program is designed for content creators, developers, and consultants who serve the entrepreneur and startup community. By referring customers to Sharetribe’s marketplace infrastructure, affiliates can earn commissions on paid subscriptions.

The program offers a tiered commission structure based on how you promote the service. The base offer provides a 10% commission on the subscription revenue from referred customers during their first 12 months. However, Sharetribe offers an incentive for active content creators: if you publish a permanent piece of content online—such as a blog post, video, or tutorial—that promotes the platform, your commission rate increases to 20% for all generated subscriptions. It is important to note that sending a newsletter alone does not qualify for the higher tier; the content must be permanently accessible.

From a technical perspective, the program utilizes a 6-month cookie window. This means if a user clicks your affiliate link and signs up for a paid plan within 180 days using the same browser, you receive credit for the referral. Commissions are paid out according to the customer's billing cycle; for monthly plans, commissions are paid monthly, and for annual plans, the total commission for the year is paid in a single lump sum. All payments are processed via PayPal on the 10th of each month (or the next business day). The program excludes trial signups, requiring a transition to a paid plan for commission eligibility. With plans ranging from approximately $39 to several hundred dollars per month, the potential for high-ticket referrals is significant for those targeting serious marketplace founders.
